Privacy policy
Last updated: 30 July 2026
These pages are general product terms and privacy information for Simple Attendance. They are not legal advice. If you need advice for your business, consult a qualified professional.
1. Who this applies to
This Privacy Policy explains how Simple Attendance handles information when you use the Service. Team owners control much of the employee data they upload. If you are an employee using "My Jobs", your workplace owner also processes your information through the Service.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the Service, we may process: Google account details (such as name, email, and profile image) used to sign in; team settings (team name, logo, preferences); employee profiles you create (name, email, photo, codes, shift times, salary fields you choose to enter); attendance, leave, and holiday records; and technical logs needed to run and secure the Service.
3. How we use information
We use information to provide and improve the Service, authenticate users, display attendance boards and reports you request, communicate about the Service when needed, and protect against abuse or security issues. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Roles and responsibility
Team owners decide what employee data to enter and how attendance is used inside their organisation. You must have a lawful basis to process worker information under laws that apply to you. The Service operator processes data to host and operate the product.
5. Third parties
Sign-in uses Google OAuth. Google’s own terms and privacy policy apply to your Google account. Hosting, storage, or analytics providers we use may process data only to help us run the Service. We do not control independent third-party services beyond our contracts with them.
6. Retention and deletion
We retain information while your account or team data remains on the Service and as needed for security, legal, or operational reasons. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting support. We will take reasonable steps to delete or anonymise data where feasible; some backups or logs may persist for a limited period.
7. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You use the Service at your own risk regarding residual security risk.
8. Children
The Service is intended for business and workplace use by adults. It is not directed at children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate steps.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after updates means you acknowledge the revised policy.
